Repair & Maintenance

Our Work

Scheduled repair at our AAR certified facility in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee, and mobile crews that go to the railcars when they can’t come to us. Here is the work we do every day.

Dwell Time Is The Enemy

Every day a railcar sits is money bleeding out

A railcar in a shop earns nothing. That single fact shapes how we work. From the moment a car reaches our facility, or the moment a mobile crew reaches yours, the job is to diagnose it, fix it right, and get it back in service fast.

We carry over $1,000,000 of the most common railcar parts in stock, so the wait for a part is rarely the reason a car is standing still. When a part is hard to get, our in-house fabrication department makes it on site.

Facility Repair

Scheduled repair at Mt Pleasant

Our fixed facility at 500 1st Avenue holds the full set of AAR certifications for the work we do: B-25, B-26, B-28, M-992 Satellite Repair Facility, M-1003 Quality Assurance, Multi-Level Rack Inspectors, and S-486 Air Brake.

Cars come in, get inspected against AAR and FRA standards, and go back out. With a $1M+ parts inventory on the shelf and fabrication capability on site, the parts are already here when the diagnosis is done.

Mobile Repair Units

We come to the railcars

When railcars can’t make it to a shop, our mobile repair units make it to them. Each service truck goes out fully equipped. Welders, cutters, grinders, jacks, blue flags, wheel chocks, full PPE, and Automated Brake Testers. Ready to do certified work in the field.

Crews travelled three hours to return roughly 600 stored railcars to service in a single engagement.

That is what the mobile side is built for: a fleet of cars sitting idle, a customer losing revenue every day, and a crew that shows up, works through them, and puts them back on the tracks. Fixed facility and mobile units. Two ways to solve the same problem, which is a railcar that isn’t earning.
